The Porcelain Veneers Process

At Dr. Kodesia's Dental studio, we split the porcelain veneer cosmetic procedure into four different appointments.

The Aesthetic Consult - First appointment ​
At your first appointment, we’ll take photos, discuss your natural tooth structure, goals, and dental hygiene to decide on a treatment plan that works best for you and your needs. We’ll also take impressions of your teeth to make molds and have a customized wax done by our dental ceramist.

The preparation - Second appointment​
Your second appointment at our boutique dental office will be two weeks after your initial consultation. During this appointment, we transfer the wax up to your mouth and make any necessary preparations to the teeth. We’ll roughen up the tooth structure to provide room for the future veneer and will take a series of molds and photos. We fabricate custom temporaries to test out the aesthetics and function. These temporary veneers can be worn while the final ones are being made.

Delivery day - Third appointment (2 weeks later)​
Two weeks later, you’ll have your third appointment at our boutique dental office, where you’ll try on your new high-quality porcelain veneers and have them fitted to your mouth to ensure nothing is uncomfortable. They will then be cemented in place with a thin layer of adhesive cement. We’ll examine your function and asses the aesthetics.

Follow up - Fourth appointment (1 month later)​
During this follow-up appointment, we’ll make sure everything is fitting comfortably, and we’ll perform any minor re-contouring that’s needed. Your final photos will be taken so you can see your before and afters, and you’ll be able to show off your new smile!

Aftercare​
People who receive dental veneers can return to normal activities the same day. You can eat or drink immediately after your appointment, but you may
experience some mild discomfort and sensitivity. This will go away in a few days.
To ensure the health of your teeth, you will want to practice good oral hygiene by brushing with a soft-bristle toothbrush and non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day and flossing daily.You will also need to come in for regular dental visits to ensure your veneers stay looking great.
